Logitech Z-10 2.0 Speaker System

We would Like to thank Logitech for the chance to review the Z-10 speaker system..

Performance:

Once again Logitech shows they are no slacker when it comes to audio.

This is the third usb audio Product we have tested from them.

Each time they impress us with their sound .

While with other products we had issues with after  some time thus far no real issues have surfaced.

Games ,music, etc all work great and sound good.

Heck Very darn well is more like it.

I use my computer as my stereo  so I want a good sounding speaker system.

I'm use to headset of later due to I like to hear music etc late at night(when kids are sleeping or should be).

But while they are off in school and the wifes not home I tend to crank it up;

An this unit lets you do it  to an extent at a certain level it gets pretty ugly (max wav in mixer and on the unit).

The unit comes with a option thats on the G15 Keyboard the LCD display that is .

The LCD displays a clock ,current cpu and ram as well as current song in Media player and pop3 mailer information.

All this is setup in the software that comes with the unit.

the LCD back lite  screen color is orange color with dark orange text (all controls are as well).

Pros:

  •  Sounds great, looks cool,.
  •  Ease of use.
  •   Works in Ububtu(6.06),Mepis 6.5,Super Gamer IV(more on this later)
  •  Perfect for small desktops, and dorm rooms.

Cons:

  •   LCD information display is only working in windows (thus far)
  •   Controls are a bit off you have to hit power button 2 to three times to get it to work(at least on my unit).
  • Wish lcd back light could be changed to blue or other colors
  • The usb cord between the units is a bit long

Conclusion

I feel these are a great value to the end user..
These are going for $180.00 Cnd which isn't too bad for what you get.
This is great if you didn't need the 5.1 setup or for use in the dorm etc.
Even a small office computer.
Logitech is still showing they can compete with the other's and give you a pretty good deal too.
