Why did you make NavynOS???

For fun :) I wanted to know if i was able to do such thing

What are the benefits of using Gentoo???

Gentoo is very fast becasue you are compiling it for your cpu architecture

Navyn is comiled for 686 (pentium2) so gentoo is a bit faster, but the most powerfull in navyn os is livecd function.

If you install to hard drive and update packages will you lose the ease of use???

The most difficult thing in gentoo is installation so ..
Navyn Os help you with this step and after this you have almost gentoo on your hard drive.

What would you like to see happen with Navyn OS???

I would be happy if user start to send me new scripts :)

Are all scripts compiled for the current windows manager or could you
upgrade to kde 3.4 and still have access to all programs???

Scipts are independent, there is used dialog library so you can run them in any window manager of even i terminal How about game s under Navyn OS can we play them like Quake 3 etc???

Now on livecd there are included 2 games: jumpnbump and abuse.

Of course you can install Quake3, ET, etc but you have to install ati/nvidia drivers manualy What about wine does wine run???

How hard is it to dual boot with your distro compared to the likes of Mephis???

there should not be any problem with dual boot (Navyn tries to add windows to boot(manager automatically)

Is hardware acceleration already installed(nvidia and ATI drivers etc)???

I havent tried thats hardware

When will a new version be released???

Probably in summer, now i am working on filemanager openspace (i have also a lot work on technical university where i study )

How can a user get the most out of Navyn OS???

the most powerfull is as livecd :)

What determines what kernel and programs you support???

I chose gentoo source kernel with my own configuration, i choose programs which are fast and with many features.

Do you run NavyN OS as your desktop???

I use as livecd but on desktop i have gentoo/navyn os hybrid :)

What is hardware support like for Navyn OS is it based on Gentoos supported hardware or is it custom???

I have 3 computers (1 laptop) and i test my distro on them, i also testing on friends comupters so kernel should work on most computers
