Hi;

I thank you for your time and for doing the interview.

An with that lets start the interview.

What should a user look for in memory to get the best bang for the buck???

If he just wants a great value on good quality memory then he only needs to look for our Value Select logo.

But every user has different needs, and we have products that cater to different users.

What types of memory do you sell ????

Flash memory - USB drives, Secure Digital and CompactFlash; standard desktop memory; laptop memory - SO-DIMMs; high performance desktop memory; and registered server memory.

What is your warranty / return policy???

Corsair has a lifetime warranty, and a great reputation for supporting our products.

Our RMA policies are listed on our website.

Why should we choose you over another memory makers products???

Reputation for one -- Corsair has a sterling reputation for making great products and supporting them very well.

Our prices are competitive.

I think the real question is, Why would you take your chances with a brand of memory other than Corsair?

What do you think should be the standard amount of memory in a gamers computer(half life 2 etc)???

Until recently 1Gig was the standard for performance gamers.

But some of the newest games like DOOM3 and HL2 like a lot of memory.

We're seeing strong sales lately in our 2Gig kits.

How can a user avoid having problems with your memory???

Hmmm...is that a trick question?

One great support tool we have is our www.asktheramguy.com user forum where users can share information and experiences.

How long have you been in the memory field???

Corsair is an 11 year old company.

We started out making high speed SRAM modules, and transitioned into DRAM modules around 1997.

What other products do you sell???

Our only product outside of memory is our water cooling kits, which are popular among extreme overclockers and case modders.

How can you be sure to get real products from Corsair???

The safest way is to buy our memory from our authorized resellers listed on our website.

We're also in the middle of implementing bar code serial numbers on every module so we can more easily check authenticity and crack down on counterfeiting.

What are your plans for future products(that you can tell us)???

Just that we will continue to innovate, enhance performance and cost reduce all our current product lines to stay number one.

We are putting a lot of focus on emerging technologies like DDR2, Fully Buffered DIMMs, etc.

What are your plans for ddr2 memory???

see above.

What other types of advice would you give a user looking to buy memory???

Decide what your needs are and buy memory that meets those needs.

Some customers just want cheap reliable memory upgrades; our Value Select is perfect for that.

Some customers want extreme performance; that's what our XMS memory is designed for, in fact we have modules that are designed for ultra low latency and others that are designed for high clock speeds.

Our Pro series and Xpert series are ideal for customers who want bling bling or lots of features.

Do you market your memory to overclockers???

Absolutely! Corsair practically invented overclocking memory.

How do you test your memory???

Every module we build is functionally tested on a motherboard at its rated specifications.

How can a user be sure your memory will work in his computer???

Use some of the tools on our website to select the right module.

Our memory configurator is a very handy tool.

You can also learn a lot about our products in third party reviews that are all over the web.
